1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using mcrux (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by the mcrux team, reachable at info@mcrux.com.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of India to use the Service. The Service is designed for Indian mutual fund investors and analyses data from Indian CAS statements. By using mcrux you represent that these conditions are met.

3. What mcrux Does

mcrux parses your Consolidated Account Statement (CAS) PDF, analyses your mutual fund portfolio using algorithms and AI language models, and presents insights on holdings overlap, expense ratios, sector concentration, and portfolio composition. The Service is designed to help you understand your portfolio better — not to tell you what to buy or sell.

5. Your Data and CAS Uploads

By uploading a CAS PDF you confirm that:

• The CAS belongs to you or to a family member whose data you are authorised to upload.
• You consent to us parsing and storing the holdings data to provide the Service.
• You understand that holdings data will be sent to an AI model (Anthropic Claude or Google Gemini) as part of generating your analysis, and that these providers have contractually committed not to use API data for model training.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload CAS PDFs that do not belong to you or an authorised family member
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its APIs
• Share your account credentials with others
• Use the Service to provide investment advice to third parties for commercial gain
• Redistribute, resell, or commercially exploit analysis outputs generated by the Service
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable Indian law

8. Intellectual Property

The mcrux platform, codebase, design, and AI-generated reports are owned by mcrux. You retain full ownership of the data you upload. We do not claim any rights over your portfolio data.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of analysis outputs — AI models can make errors, and fund data from third-party sources (AMFI, AMC feeds) may be delayed or incomplete. Always verify important figures against your official CAS or AMC statements before making any financial decision.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, mcrux and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of the Service or reliance on any analysis it produces — including any investment loss. Our total aggregate liability to you for any direct claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the Service giving rise to the claim. If you are on the free tier, our total liability is ₹0.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the account settings page. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice. No refund is due on termination.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of any material changes at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and the Information Technology Act 2000. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra.
